column

I have two new columns up at the Harlan Daily. One of them is about dodgeball and one of them is about some of my friends. Several of you who read my blog get mentioned in these two columns. So you may wanna go see if you've been name-dropped.

That dodgeball article is comedy gold! Gold I tell ya!

And how adorable is it that Bryan's mom flew out to KY to throw him a pizza party for his birthday?!

It was supposed to be at Chucky Cheese, but not everybody could have come because P.Dirty is banned from there for life. Something about taking a dump in one of the Whack-A-Mole holes.

The Gipper was a kid who used to play football for Notre Dame back in the early 1900's. He got throat cancer and couldn't play anymore. Right before he died he told coach Knute Rockne that if there was ever a game where he needed to rally his players, could he please tell them "Win one for the Gipper." Some time after that, Rockne used the phrase and Notre Dame won an important game.

So that's why you sometimes hear people say, "Win one for the Gipper" during sporting events and why I used it here. Although, in my story, the kid just got tagged out. He didn't die or anything.

I'm glad you liked the column so much. That means a lot to me. Make sure you read the other one. You're mentioned.

Done. Check yours.

Good stuff. I'll have to start reading your columns more often! (seriously)

Thanks, Scott.
