I have a friend, some of you know him. He's accident prone. He's been struck by lightening, he's gotten his hair caught in a rotating drill bit, he's been stung by jellyfish, and he's fallen into a Haitian septic ditch. I was supposed to have lunch with him today. He couldn't make it though because, apparently, last night he got his finger caught in a wood plainer.
What's the word for when something should be shocking but isn't at all?
