nerd out
Want to know why the internet rocks? Because of stuff like this. It's a map that breaks down, by county, whether Americans use the phrase "soda," "pop," or "coke" to refer to sugary, carbonated beverages. Seriously, without the internet, I would never have this information.
Where do you find this stuff? Look how diversified we are in VA. The rest of the Nation could take some lessons from us.
By the way, if you add target="blank" in your link, the page will open in a new window.
That way I don't leave your blog everytime I click on a link.
Just a suggestion!
Or you could right click and then hit "open in a new window." Unless you're on a mac. And who knows what the hell you do then.
Also "diversified" is just another name for "non-commital."
Always taking the easy way out.
I'm going to James' blog! It's much cooler because the links open in new windows.
My blog sucks. If you want to see how shitty it is, go to http://jcsamonite.blogspot.com. Yeah...I know its a cheap plug.
I fixed the link for you now, you big cry baby.
Yeah, go check out James' blog. But keep in mind that people over there sign other people's names to disgusting comments.
I went to school in Radford. According to the statistics, Radford locals didn't know what soda is.
Alaska shames the rest of the country with it's diversity.
bogus stats. . . . there ain't no way eastern kentucky folk call it "pop" . . .
although "coke" would be misinterpreted for something else. . . so maybe it is accurate. my bad.
You know, I think I can remember people in Grayson calling it "pop" when I used to live there. And "coke" didn't refer to "something else." When they talked about "something else" they referred to it as "the Devil's baking soda." Which is weird because... you know... the word "soda" and all.
I made that up.
The people of Eastern Ky referred to me as "city boy" or "homo." It just kinda depended on the day.
Y'know... i've used all of them at some point in time... but generally, if I've ever said "coke" I meant the name brand soft drink.
hey big guy, you want a soda? homo
Hey! Alright! Sunny D!
