column

I've got a new column up at the Harlan Daily. It's about The Olsen Twins and politics.

Well written. Well done.

Thanks, Scotty. I appreciate you reading the column and commenting every week.

I also enjoyed this column. I would rank it as my 7th favorite Patchwork column.

That's funny, because I would rank this as my favorite of your comments. So, I'm glad you posted it twice.

Yeah, i actually enjoy reading your columns... who knew!

your thoughts on binary thinking parallel those expressed in my doctoral thesis. culturally speaking, there exists an american paradigm of identity politics, in which everyone must fit neatly into categories based on race. well, what about those of us out there who are half mexican and half white? no true category for us. neither is there one for the dominican baseball player of african descent, the white guy who grew up among blacks in an inner city, or the woman who feels like a man trapped in a female's body for that matter. Interestingly enough, many other countries are not as deeply influenced by the binary imperative, as it deals with racial, cultural, and sexual identity as the US. I won't go into specifics, but it's true.

So, kudos to you Patrick on your insightful column. I believe that together, your writings and mine will create a paradigm shift in American culture whose ripples will be felt across the globe. "Ripples," not "nipples." Sinner.

We are the thinkers of new thoughts.

Too many big words. My little brain hurts.

After he kicks my ass, do you think I can still get his autograph and a picture with him in case he makes it big?

I've never sided with either Mary Kate or Ashley. They never really have done it for me. I do like your third option of Lindsey Lohan. However, your third option could be a second choice to some young lad or a dirty old man. I'm talkin' bout the whole Hilary Duff/Lindsey Lohan rivalry. So in this case, what would the third option be???

Lacey Chabert.

Mmmmmm...good call. She was on Celebrity Poker one time and had this low cut top. I felt like a dirty old man for gawking and drooling the entire time. Scott Wolf was also present. I'm sure he had some naughty thoughts of her while she leaned over to pull in her winnings. Sinner.

Sinner.

Sinners.
