family guy

Image hosted by Photobucket.comI thought the new episode of Family Guy was great. Some friends came over to Fort Bachelor last night to watch it with me. Because I'm a huge nerd, I prepared a highlight reel from the previous seasons. Yeah. Go ahead. Laugh. I was particularly happy to see the return of Ollie Williams (pictured)of the Blackie Weather Forcast.

Anytime they have Stewie and Brian together and make them a main focus of the show you know it's going to be good.

I've always loved the episode where Brian goes to pick up Stewie from the grandparents. Especially the scene where in the middle of stealing a car they have a conversion about wheter or not they like the cars color.

"It doesn't show dirt."

"It doesn't show dirt."

"What?"

"It... it doesn't show dirt."

Seth McFarlan's voice acting is genius.

The best Stewie moment last night was when Brian mentioned the kid's upside down face and Stewie's eye bugged out and he turned and looked at him slowly. Genius.

I also loved when Peter as Jesus scolded the Centurian.

And when Chris told Brian he didn't have to listen to him because he was a dog and dogs don't have souls.

I could go on.

Yes, the return of Family Guy is great. The episode was definitely of "come-back" quality. I particularly loved the listing of all the "bad" FOX shows at the beginning.

Fox definitely tossed that show [Family Guy] WAY too quickly the first time around... luckily even if they get jumpy again, there's three seasons due to be released and Cartoon Network's [adult swim] will air them all. FOX only guaranteed through one season. They just don't get it.

I can't stand FOX. They got rid of Family Guy way too early and now they may be getting rid of Arrested Development which is only the best comedy on TV! I think Scott summed it up perfectly, they just don't get it.

Maybe you could try pointing out something they do right for once. Fox has feelings too, you know.

No they don't.

... but they do one thing right at least... and that's keeping the Simpsons on the air.
