I'm happy to report this weekend's wedding couldn't have gone any better. It was moved inside, due to rain, but nobody seemed to mind. I got about ten seconds into the ceremony before I realized I hadn't told everyone to sit down, but everybody seemed to think it was funny, so no harm, no foul.

The rehearsal was a blast, as was the reception. I ate and drank all weekend, more or less, for free because the families of the bride and groom were so gracious. I also met a lot of interesting people and felt embraced by all of them. A few of them took to calling me "Pastor Pat" which apparently had something to do with the movie Raising Helen, but I put an end to that pretty quickly. I'm neither a pastor nor a pat.

Someone gave me a tequila shot at the reception. I had a real crisis over whether or not to drink it. Tequila and I haven't been friends for quite some time. Happily, we took to each other like long lost lovers. I got to see a large portion of Kitty O'Shea's bar staff in suits and dresses, wich was strange. A twelve year old girl recreated scenes from Napoleon Dynamite for my entertainment. Later that night she got kicked out of a bar mitzvah taking place in the ballroom next to ours, for dirty dancing. That'll make a nice story for her one day.

Dude, I am so excited for him, I wish I didn't have to work.

Do you know George?

do I know him? I practically grwe up with him, he and I were on the same baseball team together, no, I don't know him. I thought it was one of our usual bartending buddies.
