men's weekend: ky

Men's Weekend: Ky begins tomorrow. TOMORROW!!

I was talking to E on the phone last night. She said that F was coming and was excited about it. F's from the Dominican and has only lived in America for a few years. He's still picking up on cultural nuances and traditions. So, yesterday he's apparently at the gym talking to some guy and he aks him if he's going out for Men's Weekend. The guy is like, "What?" And F is like, "You know, the weekend where only guys get to go out and girls stay at home." F thought Men's Weekend was an American Holiday. I LOVE THAT KID!! Men's Weekend should be a holiday. I just wish our government was as forward thinking as F is. Then maybe they'd get off their asses and declare it one.

Also while talking to E, she asked what the "girls" would be doing during Men's Weekend. I thought about it for a second and realized that most of the guys coming to Men's Weekend arent in relationships, so there are no "girls" really. So, in reality, every weekend is Men's Weekend for most of us. Sad, really...

I called BP last night to see how the house hunting in Virginia was going. He and James will be hitting the road early tomorrow morning in a rented convertible and heading this way. James bought a shirt that says, "I love KY" just for the occassion. I'm guessing that's gonna go ten kinds of wrong.

We'll be arming ourselves with cameras all weekend so expect lots of pictures. And since we're stationed at BP's house and he has highspeed internet, you can also possibly expect up-to-the-minute Men's Weekend coverage. So go wake up the kids! You're not going to want to miss this rare entertainment opportunity for the whole family.

The shirt was supposed to be a surprise. It is similar to the "I heart logo N.Y." shirt. Dare I say...best weekend EVER!!!

Sorry BP ruined the suprise. Let's be honest. He sucks.

Remind me not to sleep with him this weekend.

don't sleep with him.

I'm glad to see such enthusiasm from the Men's Weekend Kentucky Chapter!

As far as making Men's Weekend a National Holiday, I think once we've had a representative from every state we should have a strong case. As it stands, only Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Kentucky, and Utah have been represented so we have our work cut out for us.

For the time being we should look into having Men's Weekend named a local holiday. I'm sure a couple hundred signatures should do the trick.

Again, it's great to see such enthusiasm and thank you for spreading the word.

James, you know good and well that before the weekends over you will have slept with every guy there.

I feel like I just got a letter from the President.

Not only am I President, I'm also a member.

There are some days where there's nothing I like more than reading the comment section of my blog.

those are the days when the blisters on your palms have not healed.
