nerd out
Since Dad wasn't at work yesterday I couldn't take my weekly trip to the comic book store on my lunch break. I had to go after work. Hey Dad! It's called "Comic Book Day" okay? Not "Comic Book Evening." Gah!
Anybody see Sin City? Well, the guy who wrote it, Frank Miller, is credited with writing one of the most influential Batman stories ever. When I say Influential, I mean no less than Allen Greenspan, chairman of the Federal Reserve, has cited the book as having a direct effect on the American economy over the two decades since it's release. Ha! Not really! When I say influential, I mean nerds liked it. Duh. Anyway, Frank Miller is writing Batman again. His first issue came out yesterday and is drawn by early 90's golden boy Jim Lee. I bought an issue out of mild interest and I bought James an issue at his request.
What a piece of crap. Seriously. I don't know if I've ever read a worse comic written by a proven talent. And the art? Ugh. I don't know how Jim Lee gets work anymore. It was all pinups and bad page layout. Sorry James, hope I'm not ruining the expereince for you. This book was so bad that I've decided to quit reading comic books forever. Since I'll need a new hobby, I've decided to start making Crystal Meth. Does anybody know if I can buy a Crystal Meth kit at a hobby shop?
This does sadden me. Oh well...I'm up for drinking my sorrows away this weekend with you bloques.
I think it's spelled, "blokes."
But yeah, sorry to break it to you this way. But don't worry! I'll bring a fresh batch of crystal meth!
In case the authorities are reading this, I'm obviously kidding.
Have you tried Ebay? You can find everything on there.
See, quick thinking like that is why you're the President of Men's Weekend.
And not in a good way.
Wait...
