weekend

You can tell it's fall because the weekends are slowing down and nobody seems to care.

Friday - Had dinner with the Connie's then knocked around the Turfland mall for a few minutes. The Turfland Mall is Lexington's forgotten, bastard mall. I used to live next door to it, though, so I'll always have a soft spot. Later that night, Sara came over and we laid around, drank a bottle of wine, and listened to Ryan Adams' new album that doesn't actually come out until tomorrow. Shhhhhh.

Saturday - Went to the gym then came home and made an omelet. Taught my three year olds at church then traveled to L-burg with Sara for a birthday party. Saw the nephews. Heard a kid say, "They say old Cap'n Dan used to live in this house" after we found a fish hook in the carpet. Funny little weirdo.

Sunday - Was late to church and didn't get to hear Sara sing because I was helping an old lady put air in her tires. I'm a saint. Had a meeting after church concerning a new service. Cooked food to eat the rest of the week. Sara came over. Laid around the house all day until E and F came over. We ate and drew dirty pictures on a takeout menu. F leaves Tuesday for an extended (three months) stay in the Dominican. E leaves to join him next month. Sad. They left and Sara and I watched Family Guy. Funny but not as funny as last week's episode which featured a genius Little Drummer Boy parody (These are the gifts I bring, they're up in my bum).

Nice weekend.

sweet post.

that cap'n dan kid is the coolest!

He's funny. He also once accused this little girl of turning into a bear because she had a really hairy mole on her arm. Gold.

i wish i were his friend. he rules all other kids and their cursed sense of normalcy.
