sexual harassment
You may remember a few months ago I posted something about calling our local NBC affiliate and complaining because they refused to show an episode of The Office called Sexual Harassment because they felt it was too offensive. Well, thanks to the wonders of Itunes and broadband, I was able to download the episode for just under $2.00. I'm thinking of sending WLEX the bill. WLEX, you suck. Just thought you should know.
Lately our local radio stations have been running all sorts of commercials reminding listeners that radio is supposed to be free. It's obviously a response to the popularity of sattelite radio. Now, don't get me wrong, I like free TV and radio as much as the next guy, but if you can pay a small amount and get programming tailored to your taste when you want it, well, you can see why local programmers are getting a little worried. I think in the next ten years you'll see the way people interact with media change completely. Yeah. Nostradumbass. That's me.
radio sucks! if i wasn't such a lazy basstard i would start my own station and play more than just what is on the vh1 top 20 countdown. but wouldn't we all.
p.s. - i think that the double s' in basstard should become the new standard.
p.p.s. - that is all
My Thoughts:
My CD player was from 1995...it died six months ago. I had to listen to the radio for four or so months...no tape deck and all I listen to are CDs usually.
College Radio was the only thing that saved my mind...maybe that one oldie's station too. Anyway, all free radio does is play the SAME FREAKN SONGS 24/7 and after a week, you have heard everything twice. So the paid radio seems to have more variety...which is good if you are in your car a lot.
The songs stay the same for six months, then switch to a new list of hits. I wish radio stations could broaden their horizons and play more variet...thank goodness for WRFL !!!
