column

New column up at the Harlan Daily. It's about Jebus.

Another great article...You would think that I would be sick of your stuff at this point, wouldn't you...hmmmm..

We had flannelgraph Jesus in my sunday school too! And yes, making Jesus do windmills with his arms just like Pete Townshend was the coolest.

I watched all the episodes of The Book of Daniel since so many christian groups were protesting so I thought maybe it would be pretty good. I kinda liked the show, not because of the boring Jesus character (an interesting fact about the guy who played Jesus in the show: he also plays the guy who likes to murder the prostitutes he's with on Deadwood) but because I liked that it showed a minister with real problems. Not as some self-righteous, hypercritical type, nor a crooked embezzling thief, but a man of strong faith that had some real issues in his family and personal life. I can relate to that; a man of faith that struggles to do what's right but still fall short and has to ultimately depend on grace time and time again.

Now was this show (it has be canceled) entertaining? Kind of, in a cheap rip-off of Desperate Housewives kind of way...but it probably deserved to be canceled. But I also watched the show so I could piss off people at church...but that's what I do best I guess…that’s MY spiritual gift. Now excuse me while I write down all your sins in the dirt….

Colonel, thanks as always. Some of my sins have to be written out in french. I hope you're fluent.

BP... I really have nothing to say to you. Fool.

Great. Another night of prank phone calls...
