So Sara and I, for some reason, decided to exchange Valentine's presents last night. She totally outdid me. I got her the Elizabethtown DVD and a book on the making of Neutral Milk Hotel's Aeroplane Over The Sea album. She got me Spoon's Gimme Fiction and an album by a local band called The Apparitions - both albums she'd heard me mention wanting. And then, to top it all off, she got me a griddle. I was cooking breakfast the other day and said I'd really like to have a griddle and because she's the best girlfriend in the world, she listens to stuff like that. So now, I have a griddle and new music. Tonight we're gonna go have some indian food and then we're gonna make out while smelling like curry. It'll be so romantic!

I thought it was good but not great. Sara loved it beyond words.

It was such a good movie! It was a really cute love story, the music was wonderful, and orlando Bloodm was incredibly hot. What's not to love.

I was born in Elizabethtown, I love My Morning Jacket, I mix Ale-8 One w/ Makers Mark (I call it the Colonel), and people say I'm as cute as Orlando Bloom. So basically that movie is the story of my life. Except my dad isn't dead and I hate Kirsten Dunst…oh, and if my mom were Susan Suradan, I would probably place a large butcher’s knife on my stationary bike and kill myself. But it’s pretty much the story of my life.  


Maybe that's why I had a luke-warm reaction to it.  


Tell me what you think of the Spoon album. I ranked it as my number one album of the year last year. If you don't like it, then that pretty much means you are an idiot. (Yes, I spelled it right)  


I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but I'll let you know. Probably in memo form.
