New column up at the Harlan Daily. It's about the week leading up to me speaking at Reverb. This one has gotten me my first negative piece of reader mail. I probably shouldn't say negative. It was a very nice letter from a lady who was a bit put off by the fact that I don't like the word "preach" and suggested that I'm probably not called to preach since I say cuss words. I actually enjoyed her letter and appreciated hearing an opposing view point on one of my columns.


I got another negative letter this afternoon. I'm on a roll!  


Some may say you're on a slippery slope. :) ha ha ha lol



*Side note: is there a cool new way the kids indicate laughter that's not as stupid as: :) ha ha or lol. I really need to brush up on my i.m. lingo.  


Just type "ha ha" or "aaaahahahahahah." Any sort of phonetic representation of laughter. Using "lol" without irony will get you mocked mightily in these parts.  


I must say, Patch, I was very impressed with you this weekend. I'd be in favor of hearing you give the message again sometime.
