Last night I had a dream about shaving my head. So when I got up this morning, I shaved my head. Seriously. Not like to the bone or anything, but I did get out a pair of electric clippers, put the number 4 guard on them and shave off my hair. I think it looks good. We'll see what everybody else thinks, though, because I also used to think pegging my jeans looked good.

Remember that scene in The Royal Tenembaums where Luke Wilson shaves off his hair and metaphorically shaves off all the expectations that accompany belonging to his family of geniuses and prodigies - essentially becoming a different person, before committing suicide? Well that's how it felt to shave my head. Not that I feel any pressure from my family or that I'm under that much pressure in general - and not that I'm about to commit suicide. But running those clippers over my head and watching the clumps of hair fall into the sink was extremely liberating - even if I don't really have anything in particular that I need to be liberated from. I highly recommend it.

Unless you're a chick. Bald chicks are not hot. Sorry Natalie Portman.

Great! NOW your buzzed head is totally going to trump my new hair cut that I got b/c mine won't be as short or as bold as yours. Why do you always have to steal my thunder? I was going to be the center of attention tomorrow night, but now YOU will be all the focus! Thanks a lot!!!

Also, Richie Tenenbaum didn't commit suicide, he attempted suicide and failed. Big difference.
