bottom line
The point of publishing the PatchWorks collection was tri-fold. Like my wallet. For one thing, I wanted to try and get my writing in front of a larger audience. For another thing, I really wanted to see my name on the spine of a book. For a third thing, I wanted to make a little moola. That third one was really not that big of a deal, as I didn't expect to turn much of a profit. As it stands, though, in a little over a week and a half I've made about $130.00, with about $35 more scheduled to come in this weekend. I feel pretty good about that.
I've also started contacting some different folks about helping me promote the book on the internet. My friend Greg from St. Awsome's has been pushing the book every chance he gets. I'm thinking of hiring him as my marketing agent. And possibly my pool boy once I've sold enough copies to install a pool at my house.
I'll tell everyone I see at the Alicia Keys concert this weekend about your book. If you're there, we'll be the ones smoking clove cigarettes.
Throw a copy at Alicia.
