free food

A few weeks ago a paint store gave my dad and I a couple of $50 gift certificates to the Outback family of restaurants - which happens to include The Bonefish Grill. So last night Sara and I put on some nice clothes and went on a date to Bonefish. She had on this blue sleeveless top she had just bought and looked really nice. When we got in the restaurant they had the air conditioner cranked up so high that I had to go out to my car and get her this ratty old sweater to put on. Remarkably, she still looked beautiful.

Since we had a gift certificate we ate big. In retrospect I shouldn't have told Sara about the gift certificate. I could have just pretended I was splurging on her. Why don't I think of these things earlier?

I had a dish called Rhea Salmon. It was Salmon served with a tomato/lime butter sauce and lumps of crab meat. It was fantastic. Sara had the talapia with a Mandarin orange sauce. We also had Bang Bang shrimp as an appetizer. Mostly because I like saying "bang bang" to waitresses. We also both had a glass of their homemade Sangria. I decided I'm going to make my own Sangria this summer. And then sell it on the street corner in a little homemade lemon-aid stand. I figure my clientele will mostly be homeless people.

I love any food where there's lumps of crab meat on it.

My favorite dish at Dudley's is Tornados Maxwell. It's filet mignon with a bearnaise sauce and topped with crab meat. It's TOO good.
