I was hoping to get the preview copy of my book today as Cafepress' website says it shipped yesterday and their facility is in Louisville. Unfortunately, I underestimated how much the universe hates me. Apparently the book is being shipped through a special UPS arrangement where UPS picks up the package, possibly holds on to it for four days, hands it off to the United States Post Office who then holds on to it for as long as ten days. I wish I'd chosen a different delivery option now. Like one where I drive to their facility and pick up the book. Or one where they tape the book to a chicken and point it in my general direction. Either one would no doubt end in me getting the damn thing quicker.
