true tales of tuesday night
P.Dirty isn't working nights any more. So last night he came over and we had a few beers and watched tv. We took a minute to remember how not long ago, a Tuesday night would have found us hunched over the bar at Kitty's for five or six hours of penny pitchers and tennis skirts. Neither one of us missed it, I don't think.
We watched TV's Most Outrageous Moments (or whatever), Scrubs, Teachers, and a couple of episodes of Arrested Development (DVD). Teachers was the lowpoint for sure. The high point was when Scrubs used a Ben Folds song. I think that took Dirty's appreciation for the show to a new level. Sara was out girling it up with some of her friends all night. She only showed up at my place long enough to set a to go order of ribs in front of me. That's service, kids.
It feels good. And strangely instead of making me feel bad for all the people out there who deserve a great girlfriend but don't have one, it actually makes me feel contempt for them. What's that all about?
And oh yeah, I don't know how they do in Mexico, but here in America, I "won" the girlfriend lottery, not "one" it. I hope that college you teach at knows what a find you were.
I've been served.
Don't worry, he's a fake doctor. I really don't believe anything he says.
I (through no fault of my own) have incurred the "contempt" of Patch.
Who says you deserve a girlfriend? I see what you do at night.
No contempt?! Whoo hoo!!!
I knew there was someone outside my window three nights a week... now who's crazy?
Hey, I like the tweaks to the site. Nice. By the way. You asked for my email a while back... were you just collecting email addresses or were you going to email me something?
Thanks Scotty. I think I like it too, but I'm not sure.
I'll email you something in a few days.
