weekend
-Friday: Sara and I had dinner at Shang Hai Bistro (best Chinese in Lexington) with Mike and Jennifer and then went and saw Inside Man (there were actually four seats together this time). It was excellent. Didn't really feel like a Spike Lee movie to me. All actors involved did great. I could have done without having to listen to Sara cooing every time Clive Owen showed his face, though.
-Saturday: Had breakfast at Hannah's On Lime with Sara on Saturday morning. I think Hannah's is the best place for breakfast in Lexington. Alfalfa's fried potatoes make it a close call, but Hannah's homemade bread tips the scale in the end. Ran the camera switcher at church that night. I'm getting more and more comfortable with the console, so that's good. My first couple of weeks I would just hit buttons randomly like a chimp. Now I hit buttons purposefully like a chimp. After church, Dirty came over to my place and we ate tacos, drank beers, and watched a Jeff Buckley live DVD and the Best of Triumph The Insult Dog DVD.
-Sunday: Ran the switcher at church again and spoke for a few minutes at Reverb. Sara had to open at Panera, so I met her at my place after church and ate take out. After lunch I tried to glue something with Superglue. It got all over my fingers in the process. It's a really weird sensation. Almost claustrophobic in a way. I couldn't feel anything with my fingers because there was a hard layer of glue around them. It took hours to get it all off. After that Sara ate an entire pizza by herself while I sat next to her trying to figure out how to get a piece without losing a finger. Family Guy was a rerun but it was one of the funniest episodes in quite a while.
file under: weekend
One word....Fingernail Polish Remover...takes superglue off your fingers in seconds. And don't act like you don't have any at your house.
BP: Don't worry, it's only a matter of time.
Colonel: I used to have fingernail polish remover but I drank it one night in a fit of despearation.
That is why I can't make cookies at my house...well anything that requires vanilla extract.
