weekend

Really good weekend.

Friday - Had dinner with ET & Vlad (see point of order). After dinner I suggested we go sit on the patio at Kitty's and enjoy the spring weather. We called Dirty and he met us there. Showed off the test copy of my book. Showed favorite bartender Mike the column that mentions him. Eventually a friend of ours named Justin happened along and joined us. And then after a while Sara and Jennifer showed up. Sara and Jennifer go see a movie every friday night. It's their "date" night. It's all very gay but kind of hot. Eventually everybody left by Justin, Dirty, and me. We walked down to a place called the Paddoch that, apparently, a friend of ours is part owner of. Didn't stay long. Drove home feeling like spring had officially started.

Saturday - Spent most of the day at church preparing for the weekend's four Easter services. I manned the roving stage cam this weekend, which is the most fun, mindless job you can do at St. Awsomes. After church Sara and I went to dinner with Aquaman (BP) and Double S at A Taste of Thai. We sat at a sidewalk table and remarked at how ninja-like our waiter was. After dinner we met up with P.Dirty back at our place and made a big dish of Rice Crispy treats and went around the table discussing what each one of us appreciated about Scarlett Johansson.

Sunday - Spent six hours at church, all said in done on Sunday. Roving stage cam was hell on my bad knee but I still had fun. After church Sara and I went back to my place to enjoy the roast I had put in a crock pot the night before. I'm like Marth Stewart if Martha Stewart was a good looking, modest guy in his thirties who'd never done any jail time. It's really quite charming.

The really funny part is that I was in the green room with Sara and Jennifer on Saturday night and in the process of discussing my dinner plans I said something about putting a roast in a cock pot.

Wait, did we already have this conversation?

No, no, see, it originally happened with Sara and Jennifer and I retold it to you guys.

"St. Awesomes" is a great church. You rocked that stage cam, man!

Pshaw...

Also, I just want to say that Sara and Jen must be completely worn out after each service! I got a copy of the service on DVD and everytime the camera pans on the choir, they are boppin' their hearts out... non-stop rockin'! The rest of the choir just kinda chills and sings.

I fully appreciate that kind of worship and dedication... as most people know that I dance in the booth during songs that are very powerful.

sorry for trying to belong.

That'll teach you.
