the agony of defeat

Last night was the first night of St. Awesome's new wiffle ball league. I had the bright idea of building a team around Vlad since he's a former Lexington Legend. The team was comprised of Sara, ET, Vlad, myself, and three other players we met for the first time last night. Not in attendance: The Colonel and Sara's brother Sam.

We played a team of high school kids (including ET's younger brother). They whooped our asses good. Eight to nothing I think. My theory is that Vlad had a one game learning curve. Next week we'll be unstopable.

Or not.

I would love to play in your wiffle ball league. I'd probably end up hurting myself somehow. At MW 8, we played wiffle ball and I went 5-6 with a few RBIs and runs scored. Of course this was underhand pitching.

This is overhand but you can't throw heat.

Also, if the pitcher gets the ball and touches the mound, the leading runner is out. It's kind of hard to score.

Kind of like being BP.

ZING!

You zinged when you should have zoomed, see.

Right, buddy. Whatever you say.

The whole team was.

Oh, who am I kidding...
