another dream crushed
So last night the Colonel, Vlad, P.Dirty, my friend Clark, and Sara's brother Sam come over to play a little Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. We're all sitting around, having a good time, and the topic of internet videos comes up. Clark asks us if we've ever seen the vide of the bungee jumper diving out over a lake in Australia only to get his head bitten off by a crocodile waiting below.
I'm pretty sure the room fell silent at the end of his question.
None of us had ever even heard of it, much less seen it. And to be honest, between the Colonel and I, there's not much of the internet that goes unnoticed.
I can't imagine anything more beautiful than a video like that. How could that even happen? I vowed that moment to hunt this video down, no matter how long it took and no matter how much actual work I had to blow off.
This morning it took me one google search to find the video. Unfortunately, I found the video on Snopes.com. If you're familiar with Snopes, it's one of those sites that goes around disproving Urban Legends.
Snopes pointed out that the video is actually from a Foster's Beer commercial shown in Australia to promote a new pouring technique that gets rid of head. GET IT??
Anyway, follow this link to Snopes to see the video. And stop for a moment to remember a dream that died today. The dream of seeing a bungee jumper really get his head bitten off by a crocodile.

i told you it was fake!
You're so smart.
I think my head knew it was fake, but my heart didn't want to believe it.
I'm confused! Why would anyone want to get rid of head? I mean, seriously that's just stupid. I'm going to start my own "pro-head" movement.
Also, I've learned to never trust a word Clark says ever again..and to never play 007 with dirty.
Strangely enough, your post pretty much summed up the Patricklynndrury.blogspot.com mission statement.
I wish.
