column

New column up at the Harlan Daily. It's about my long history of tv crushes.

file under:

"I'd like to king her queen"....NICE!

Let's see...I liked Erin Grey from Silver Spoons. She was also on Buck Rodgers. I'd Buck her if you know what I mean.

Great article. However, I thought you said King of Queens is a horrible show...see, caught in another lie.

Little known facts about the Colonel:

1. My first TV crush was on a young lady that was also the first person to whom I ever wrote a fan letter. Yes, my first TV crush was on Tootie from the Facts of Life, played by Kim Fields. Man, thinking about her on those roller skates and with those braces…..it’s too much for me to handle.

2. When I was around nine-years-old, my parents took me to the Ringling Brothers Circus. There was a twelve-year-old girl who was an acrobat and tight-rope walker. Needless to say, I was in love with her from the first flip. I still can remember how my stomach filled with excitement when I would think about her.

OK, that's enough revealing of my weird secrets and crushes for the rest of the year.

Let’s move on...

King of Queens is a terrible show, but the chick is hot.

Erin Grey from Buck Rogers was hot. Interesting side note - Markie Post was a recurring guest star on Buck Rogers.

Colonel, did you really write a letter to Tootie? Tell us more.

Also, you should do a google search for that acrobat. Ha! I said that like you hadn't already.

No Winnie Cooper?!! She was my ultimate TV crush.

I know a lot of guys who name Winie Cooper. For some reason, she never did it for me. I could see she was cute, but I think I was into older women. You know, like The Golden Girls.

Winnie Cooper was cute when she was little, but when she hit like 14, she started to show signs of getting one of those female mustaches and that was the end of my interest in her.

HA!!

Seriously, ha.

You should send it to me so I can use it as toilet paper after I drop a duece on everyone.

Strangely enough, I've never been to Harlan ever in spite of writing a weekly column for their paper. Good luck with the play. Tell us more when you get a chance.
