nice
Every night this week I've been driving to Lawrenceburg to do skits in my old home church's VBS. It's an hour and a half of driving for three minutes worth of work - but I really enjoy it. For one thing, I get to eat dinner with my parents every night, but I also really have fun doing the skits. I usually write a couple of jokes the day of, and then improv the rest. My old youth minister Matt serves as the straight man every night. It's fun. I was going to ask P.Dirty to come along and help, but nobody would buy him as a straight man.
It's been gorgeous every night so far, so on my way home, I roll down my windows and crank up my music. I can remember back on my old blog, probably around three years ago, commenting on how even when your life sucks, there's something about riding in a car down a straight stretch of highway, with your windows down and your music up that just makes life seem okay. Well, now I'd like to take the opportunity to suggest that driving and listening to music is even better when your life doesn't suck. I have an incredible family that I love- including nephews that are the greatest kids ever, a good job that pays my bills and gives me time with my Dad, great friends that support and encourage me, a steadily improving financial situation, I'm in good health, a house that's warm, a car that drives, a church that challenges and fulfills me, and I'm dating the most incredible girl I've ever known. Driving home last night with the music up just made all of that feel even sweeter.

You also have a Filipino friend that you'll be seeing this weekend. Does it get any better?!?
Conrad?
I really need to get my dad to stop commenting on your blog with my account.
Go easy on him.
