true tales of tuesday night - monday edition
Had planned to stay home last night and watch the World Series of Pop Culture on VH1 and keep my own score at the Colonel's recommendation. I got a call from my friend Shawn Waddle, though, and he informed me that his band, One King Train, was playing at O'Neill's, so I decided to head out and hear them. Clark got the same call, so I met him there. When I got there they were finishing up Theology On Tap, this thing where they have a Catholic Priest come in and discuss a topic and answer questions. The Reverb creative team and I attended one of these back in the winter. We learned to "TRUST THE CHURCH!"
A lot of the Theology on Tap crowd left once it was over. Okay, actually all of them. So One King Train played to a sold out crowd of me, Clark, and Mona - Leo the bassist wife. Eventually I had to go. You know it's an intimate crowd when you can step on stage and say goodbye to the band members personally between songs.
Once I got home I caught the last half hour of The World Series of Pop Culture. I got 6 out of the 11 questions right. It's on again tonight. I will be watching it more seriously tonight and making a spreadsheet of my score with annotations.
I scored approx. 80% correct last night. I too will keep more accurate score tonight!
This may be the best show on TV right now.
Did you see the Comic Book Movie category last night?
No, I wasn't home in time for that. Obviously, that would have rocketed my score up.
I just finished watching tonight's episode. I'll tally my score tomorrow.
