weekend

Friday - Went to a friend's wedding at St. Awesome's. Saw some baby juggling. After that Sara and I went to Tomo's for sushi and talked about what songs we'd have in our wedding if we got married. So far my picks are down to Offering by The Avett Brothers, Somewhere Over The Rainbow by the Hawaiin guy, Isreal whatever..., and The Healing Has Begun by Van Morrison (just part of it, though). I've rarely seen music used in weddings to my liking. My friend Jennifer had a Ben Folds song in her wedding sung by my friend Clark, but I wasn't there to hear it unfortunately.

Saturday - Woke up and went to CD Central to get the new TV On The Radio album, but it's not out yet, in spite of several outlets reporting that it came out on the 3rd. After that I had lunch with my mom and dad at Olive Garden. Then did some shopping at Wild Oats for dinner. Made pan-fried trout, smashed asparagus and onion potatoes, and dill and capers sauce for the fish. It was awesome. After dinner Sara and I went to Barnes and Noble, then we went to see Pirates Of The Caribean II. I enjoyed it, but thought it lacked all of the charm and simplicity of the first one, which to me, was one of the best movies I've seen in years.

Sunday - Went to St. Awesome's. Felt kinda restless so I wandered around church throughout the service. After church I grabbed some Gold Star Chilli and went home and relaxed. Sara came over after work and we cooked some Salmon to go with the left-over sides from the night before.

I sang "Steven's Last Night In Town" at my wedding.

It was awesome!

I'd totally see it in theatres. It had monsters and pirates and some really nice looking action scenes. It's a bit long, but bearable. Whatever you do, don't stay past the credits for the extra bit. It's not worth it and you'll hate yourself for it.

Ian, that is awesome. Did you sing it in the ceremony? Steven's Last Night In Town has been one of my favorite Ben Folds songs for a long time.
