weekend

Friday - Went over to The Colonel's house for dinner with him, Mrs. Colonel, and the Lil' Colonel. Had pizza and beer. After the Lil Colonel was put to bed, the three of us still awake went down into the Colonel's basement (He calls it the Men's Room. I call it the Man Hole) and recorded the inaugural Reverb podcast that I linked to the other day. It was a blast. After that The Colonel showed me a short film he and the Mrs. made called Leah, Life of A Hand Model. It was pretty awesome. He also showed me a music video he made featuring Mrs. Colonel that was completely adorable. Got home around 1:30. Slept like a rock.

Saturday - Sara came over Saturday morning and made me an omelet. It fell apart in the pan and she cried. She takes cooking seriously. After breakfast we went to CD Central. She bought cds by Alexi Murdoch and Josh Raddin. I bought the remastered Whatever And Ever, Amen by Ben Folds because my original is scratched all to hell. After that we watched my second Netflix offering, Winter Passing. It featured Will Ferrell in a serious role and was really good. At some point during the day we ended up at the good food co-op but I don't remember when that was. For dinner we went to Texas Roadhouse. We never go to place like that unless we're with my family. I really wanted a steak, though. The food was good, but the atmosphere made us both antsy. After dinner we went to Barnes and Nobel so Sara could buy the Bell Jar. Her brother ended up being there because he was thinking about buying the Bell Jar for her. How sweet is that? I bought a couple of graphic novels: The new Eddie Campbell book, The Fate of The Artist and an anthology by Brazilian artists Gabriel Ba and Fabio Moon. When we got back home P.Dirty and Adsprad came over. We watched Ultimate Fighting and The Chapelle Show. Adsprad informed us he had jungle fever once. Oh Adsrad...

Sunday - Went to both the Mothership service and the Reverb service at St. Awesome's. After church went to lunch with my friend Jason, his wife Kristy, and Sara's friend Erin. Had fun. Will be hanging out with Jason and Kristy more. After lunch went back to my place and read and napped until Sara couldn't take it any more and insisted we get out of the house. We drove around listening to music and then ate at Billy's BarBQ. After that Sara and I went back to my place and made a mix-tape for a friend. You wanna see Sara excited, let her make a mix-tape. It's a science for her.

My house, Winter Passing, and the Bell Jar? Sounds like you just wanted to surround yourself with crazies this weekend. A glutton for punishment you are.

Wow, I don't remember that at all. Check out the memory on you.

I do remember Oprah the Dog. And now that I've thought about it all day, the Bell Jar bit is scraping at the back of my headbones.

We rocked. What happened to us?

Gah! Damn you drugs and whores!
