I just found out, completely by chance, that Chris Whitley died back in November of 2005. I'm devastated. I had no idea.

I loved Chris' music. There's not very much music that I listened to in high school/college that made the transition with me into adulthood.

Dirty and I got to see him in concert at the Dame a couple years back. I'm glad we went. Especially now.

Whitley was a phenomenal talent and I'm sad he's gone. Check out his song: Big Sky Country below.









I found out that he died when I was watching the Grammy's. You know that part where they name off every musician who has died in the last year. I wondered if you knew and I meant to ask you about it, but I obviously forgot. Sorry about that...  


Don't worry about it.

It completely wrecked my day yesterday, though.  


my heart just dropped a little. that was a great show.  


Two days after I found out, I'm still not over it.
