weekend
Friday - Sara and I went to a pool party being held for the Reverb worship team (Sara's a member). It rained for the first hour or so that we were there. It cleared up eventually, though. Only three or four of us braved the water. Sara left about half way through the party to see a movie with Jennifer. They saw Little Miss Sunshine. Sara loved it.
Saturday - Went to luch with my mom, dad, and the nephews. Bummed around the mall for a while. Sara came over after work and we went and got dinner at Gold Star Chilli. After dinner we went and picked up the Colonel and Dirty and headed over to the Dame for the Sunday Valley reunion show. We met GG, ET, Vlad, and Adam and Mary there. The show was awesome. It started with Stu doing a three or four song solo set. Once he was done the rest of the band took the stage. I stood there in that crowd with my best friends, listening to my favorite band, momentarily risen from the grave, and couldn't have been happier. I hope this wasn't the last reunion show.
Sunday - Wen to St. Awesome's and wandered around the building during the first service. During Reverb I got up and talked about sex for about ten minutes. Ended up leaving before the service was over because I didn't feel great. Sara brought me lunch from Johnny Carino's and we watched "Me, You And Everyone We Know." The less said about that, the better. Ugh. Not a great movie.
So how long did Sunday Valley break up?
They're actually still broken-up as far as I know. The last show prior to this one was back in November. This was just a reunion thing.
Lessons learned from the weekend:
1. Azur is the best restaurant in Lexington. (took Mrs. Colonel there on Friday night on our date!)
2. Sunday Valley rocks!!!!
3. Sara is way too good for Patrick. (I already knew that, but it was confirmed again this weekend.)
4. Don’t' ever, ever, EVER, walk up to the drive thru window at ARBY's b/c the guy working will be jumpy as hell and will threaten to beat you with a bow staff if you don't get back into the car. Right P-Dirty?
1. I still haven't been there even though you've been recommending it for quite a while now.
2. Well, duh.
3. Well, duh.
4. Holy crap! I almost forgot about that!
