art appreciation: travis charest

Travis Charest is one of the best American comic book artist of his generation. He's currently working for a Europen publisher. This summer, however, he was at the San Diego Comicon doing sketches. Rich Johnston's Lying In The Gutters column reprinted some of his con sketches. They're awesome:


Charest combines the two best parts of Return of The Jedi



Superman and Supergirl



Boba Fett



A violent looking Wonder Woman



And Superman and Batman

While his convention sketches are awesome, his professional work is even more incredible:
