new itunes
I know just a few posts ago I was talking about how awesome the new Songbird media player is - but how about the newest version of iTunes?
I really dig the juke box-style album cover display option:

I know it's just a shiney bell/whistle to keep me interested in the growing iEverything engine, but what can I say? I like bread and I like circuses.
i like it, but if you have a lot of music, then it is really not wroth using. i really like the cover art finder. eventhough it got every led zeppelin album wrong and is awful on compilations. it makes it a lot easier for all the albums that someone gives me or i come accross a burned copy of.
For some reason, I like the idea of having my computer out at a party and people flipping through it like a juke box. I'll probably never do that, but still...
If I ever do, though, I'm gonna set a piggybank next to it and demand they put quarters in - just to complete the experience.
if you ever do that, i'm stealing the back.
it looks pretty...but there's alot more flaws in version 7 compared to 6... i get alot of skipping from time to time... hopefully songbird will add some more perks that itunes has and we can scrap itunes all together...
I don't use Songbird as my media player. I do however, use iTunes and love the jukebox/album feature despite the problems I've encountered with it too. However, Songbird's best feature is the web browser. When you go to a site that has media (mp3, mov, etc…) for you to download, it places it all at the bottom of the page so you can access it without having to search through the site. That's really cool and saves me time from having to read mindless blog drivel ....and let's face it; reading sucks. Who's the idiot that invented that crap? Moron!
I agree with Dirty on how iTunes messes up the compilations. As for as the Jukebox feature, I don't use it often. I just put my iPod in my awesome iPod Bose speaker for gatherings, get togethers, or Black Panther parties.
Right. Good one.
aquaman, i see that the 'quote of the day' desktop calender is working out well for you.
