studio 60

Studio 60 continues to be awesome. My only real problem with the show is that the bits of sketch comedy we see (as the show revolves around the cast and creative-staff of a Saturday Night Live-type program) just aren't funny. The bits of comedy in the show that originate from character moments are great. The bits that are supposed to look like SNL are ham-fisted and clumsy.

Don't get me wrong, I realize the sketch comedy bits aren't the point of the show, but last night they were so poorly done that they pulled me right out of the show.

On the other hand, the bit where Matthew Perry told Amanda Peet her teeth were kind of big was hilarious. Concur!

I think those comedy bits are supposed to not be funny. Kind of back-handed homage to Saturday Night Live not being funny anymore.

I mean, seriously....If SNL gets any worse, it might as well call itself "Two and a Half Men"

SNL should hire Dave Chappelle as its head writer. He needs a high paying, high pressure job.

You know, I'd almost buy that and applaud the writers of Studio 60 for their slyness, but last night the bits weren't funny because they felt like the writers were trying too hard to remind us of the tension between the stuio execs and the religious right. The sketch was a tirade against religion done in skit form with accents to remind us it was supposed to be funny. It felt really clumsy.

Also, I'm suprised you don't recognize how funny Two And A Half Men can be. Charlie Sheen playing himself! Genius!

1. Agreed.
2. You need to get on that.
3. You saw me beat him in arm-wrestling, right? Also, you gotta admit, her teeth are kinda big.

1. So, so wrong.
2. Your an idiot
3. You know what they say, big teeth, big....wait...no one says that at all

1. Never watched it.
2. I like the show, and Aquaman is an idiot.
3. Patrick beat me in arm wrestling, but Sara thought I had nice calf muscles.

1. to get ready
2. to get set
3. to go man, go

I agree, patch, the sketches seemed to be very awkward, kind of like the feeling in the van after matt said he liked Margret Thatcher
