weekend
Friday, Sara and I went to a dinner for the Reverb creative and community planning teams. Had some good food, talked about embarrassing cd's we own, our top three celebrity lists, and watched our friend Chris' Survivor audition tape. I have no idea why they didn't take him. Or why his wife Cher stayed with him. After the dinner Sara and I went back to her place and watched some tv for a while.
Saturday I was up early and headed o Mt. Sterling for the second half of a St. Awesome's tech team retreat. I took a wrong turn on the way there and made myself about 15 minutes late. Got there in time for a meditative exercise where we all went off by ourselves for two hours of silence and time with God. I went into the woods and sat on a big rock in the middle of a dried up stream. It was really kind of nice and I had a minor epiphany. While walking back I passed a fenced in pasture full of horses. I stood by the fence and watched them for a few minutes. One of the horses pooped right in front of me. I was embarrassed for him because I think it was an accident. After the retreat was over I headed to St. Awesome's to volunteer as video director. Later that night Sara and I ate dinner at Chedders and then we went back to her place so I could try and program her new DVR.
Sunday I volunteered at St. Awesome's again. After the classic service we had the last Reverb ever. There was a meal and my friend Jason performed some covers (Hey Ya, Crazy, and Mamma Said Knock You Out) on his acoustic guitar. I have copies of a couple of them. I'm gonna ask him if I can post them here eventually. They're awesome. After Reverb Sara and I went back to her place to take a nap. After that She, her brother Sam, and I went to the party store so they could get some stuff and I could look at Halloween decorations. After that we got Jimmy Johns and Sara and I met up with Vlad and E.T. to see Employee of The Month. It was pretty craptastic. Not very funny at all.
