weekend

Friday night I cooked myself a little dinner and then Dirty came over and brought Guitar Hero 2. We were soon joined by The Colonel, Intern Charlie, and a few other guys. I can't adequately frame my love for Guitar Hero 2 in words. I suck at it. I suck bad at it. But it's the mark of an incredible game when you're really bad at it and you still love the crap out of it. Observe us in our guitar hero glory:

Sara came over after a while, but she didn't play. She just sighed and shook her head a lot. Just kidding. She's awesome. She brought beer.

Saturday I met Sara for breakfast at Bob Evans. After that we went to her place and watched some of the shows we missed this week on her DVR. Specifically the first half of Studio 60 and Lost. We went to the Saturday service at St. Awesome's and then went to see Stranger Than Fiction with Mike and Jennifer. I was surprised at how much I liked it. It's not a Will Ferrel comedy like most people are used to. It actually has a really touching ending. I got a little teary. I don't know what's wrong with me. I think I'm about to start...

Sunday I headed to St. Awesome's to fill a whole on the video team. I ran a camera. Much like Guitar Hero, I suck at running a camera. I was all shaky on the stick as they say. And by they I mean I me, just now. After church I screwed around at home until Sara got off work. I improvised my way through Veal Marsala. It turned out pretty good. Sara had never had veal and she liked it, so I must have done okay. It's hard to mess up suculent doe-eyed baby cows, though. Mmmmmm....

see, i thought that will ferrell movie would suck. maybe i'll check it out. thanks, patchdrury.com for changing my mind!!!!

also, watched "click" (that adam sandler movie with the remote control), and christopher walken is easily top 5 list of my favorite actors.

that mofo's funny.

I will take you under my wing and turn you from a Guitar Zero to a Guitar Hero. Oh yes I did.

I just noticed my belly in that lower picture and now I feel the need to point out that I'm standing that way because of the guitar. I'm not saying I'm all rock-hard abs or anything, but that's definitely not the natural protrusion.

What does it say about me that I felt the need to post that?

I got 100% on Monkey Wrench by the Foo Fighters last night. I was playing the easy mode, but still...

I'm getting better. I started doing some songs in Medium last night. I'm generally falling in the 88 to 93% on Medium. I played Surrender by Cheap Trick about a dozen times last night.

Try "Who Was In My Room Last Night" by the Butthole Surfers. That song is awesome in this game. I recommend you try it out on medium.

I'm pretty good at "Killing In the Name". Of course "Freebird" is fun...especially when you're playin' against someone in the Pro-Face Off.

Everyone knows that black hides the belly...see how trim and fit I look? Yep, black t-shirts work every time.

Another way of loosing the gut is by inviting me over to play GHII and I'll rock your white t-shirt belly off!

OK, I like this game too. It arrived at our house tonight and this is one video game I'd have to say I don't mind having around. Of course, that is all the Colonel is doing so it might get old, but for now it is good.

This is reason 1,358,724 that Mrs. Colonel rocks! I have the list of all the other reasons in a PDF document if anyone wants a copy.

No thanks. I have my own list of reasons why Mrs. Colonel rocks. You can't see it, though.

Is she playing the game or just watching you?

She played the game! In her pajamas!! I even have photos!!!! You can't see them, though.
