Sara and I put up the Christmas tree today:



And the stockings we made last year. Mine is the one that says, "Patrick":



We also did some baking because it seemed more Christmasy than frying:


After that I decided to get all artsy and take some impressionistic shots of our decorations. And by "decided to get all artsy and take some impressionistic shots of our decorations" I mean "forgot to turn the flash on." Still turned out kind of neat:



Sara and I had an awesome day together today. She loves Christmas and I love watching her when we do this kind of stuff together. While we were eating dinner I had one of my "my heart is so full right now" moments with accompanying speech action. The last time I had one of those I was at a Sunday Valley concert with a bunch of my friends. I am sentimental and annoying in my old age.


good God! that's tree's on fire! quick, get an extinguisher! no wait, no time! pee on it!

sorry, the emotional vulnerability of the previous paragraph made the air in here all awkward so i had to make an inappropriate joke.

ahhh, now this is better. i can breathe.
