-This Friday Sara and I are going to the Dame to see Over The Rhine. Every year they come to Lexington for a Christmas show. Last year's show was cancelled due to illness in the band. Sara is really excited.
-I've started using Google Reader to check blogs and websites (at least the ones that offer feeds. Hellooooo... Colonel...). I didn't thinkg I'd like using an aggregator service, but it's actually growing on me - especially since I can make it and Gmail appear at the top of my Google homepage. Basically I open the internet and I know if I have any emails or if any of the websites I visit have been updated. It's very handy. Like a home tetnus shot kit if you lived in like a rusted out old airplane or something.
-I now have a frequent diner number at Shamrock's. Which means every tenth meal I have there is free. Dirty has had like seven free meals or something so far. I see Men's Weekend Ky III being disrupted by Dirty and I fighting over who's number we put all the food on. Splitsies?
Don't you mean, "Halfsies"?
Actually I meant "equal portionsies."
MWK isn't about getting angry with one another. Unless one of the participants goes on a rampage, calls people full of sh*t, ruins the evening by trying to be nice to local bar patrons, and gets obnoxiously loud. Sorry...I digress. I say you and Dirty go "halfsies".
it's like i don't even understand mwk anymore...
I've only been to MWK once, but I view it like I view women: Don't try to understand it, just enjoy it.
I enjoyed MWK so much I decided to vomit in the parking lot of Shamrocks...TWICE! Or was it 3 times...
I've been using Google Reader for a couple months, now, and while I like it, i feel a bit disconnected from the blogs I love and know.
I still use it, mind you, but the feelings are there nonetheless.
Yeah, I basically use it to notify me on everybody's blogs. If I see there's a new post, I'll click over to it for the comment sections and such.
It's awesome for news sites, though, and for blogs that I don't know update regularly.
