vacation: over
Eleven days of vacation flew by like one of those dorky segues, but like one with a jet engine attached to it. I'm sure attaching a jet engine to a segue is impossible and if it was possible it would probably kill whoever was driving it, but I'm trying to make a point. Here's how the vacation shook down:
The Kitty's thing:
So Kitty's was torn down on Tuesday. I headed by there around 5:00, after the demolition, to see the aftermath. Believe it or not there was a guy in a kilt playing bag-pipes on top of the wreckage while the owners stood around drinking beer. It was surreal to say the least. I stood by and watched for a bit and tried not to cry. Once the memorial was finished I asked one of the owners if I could grab a couple of souvenirs out of the wreckage. He told me to help myself - and that if I wanted it the old wooden sign that used to hang outside above the front door was available. Somebody had requested to take it, it seems, but hadn't showed up. I was overjoyed. I picked up the sign, hoisted it over my shoulder and started down the sidewalk. Just then the person who had originally asked for it showed up. I felt like I had to give them the sign since they had laid claim to it originally. It really sucked. So, instead of a sign, I grabbed some pieces from the front of the building. To console myself I've decided the sign is probably infested with termites.
The Christmas Shopping:
Got all but a couple of little things done. Awesome.
Guitar Hero:
Dirty went out and bought a Playstation 2 to replace his broken one. As a result I had to give his Guitar Hero 2 back to him. I think I'm gonna have to go pick up my own copy this week. I miss it like an old lover. And old lover with a whammy bar and multi-colored buttons on her neck.
Wireless internet:
I now have wireless internet. I'm typing this from my bed. Once I get that catheter put in I'll never have to get up.
Sara's birthday:
Saturday was Sara's birthday. She turned 25. So old. We had a party for her on Saturday night. We had dinner at Nagasaki's:

From there a few of us headed out to Two Keys. I haven't been to Two Keys for years and I predict it will be years before I go back. If I wanna spend my time around obnoxious, over-dressed twenty-somethings doing idiotic crap I'll clone Dirty and start a frisbee golf league or something.
All in all the vacation was excellent. Eleven days of sleeping in, setting my own pace, and spending time with Sara. It makes me wish I lived in Europe where people get like six weeks of vacation every year. That and the bidets. Eurpoe= lots of vacation and ease of clean-up.
was the space next to vlad, across from dirty, reserved for me?
tear.
Uh... sure...
If that spot was for him, then the spot next to Spam must have been for me. Right?
What? Oh. Hi. What?
