canned laughs
Apparently, some folks are complaining about the torture scenes in 24 because they're worried they desensitize people to the idea of Americans torturing war prisoners for information. That seems kind of stupid.
Of course, if people are really worried about scenes of torture from the makers of 24, they should be protesting this opening scene from their new conservative alternative to the Daily Show:
What happened? I think I blacked out there for a second. Why do I feel like somebody stabbed me in the soul?
watching that makes me want to move to mars, since everyone knows conservatives can't weather the harsh conditions there.
