popper cap in your @$$
I think it was my freshman or sophomore year of college that my ex-girlfriend from high school told me she'd heard a band that she knew I'd love called Blues Traveler.
She loaned me what was their most recent album at the time, Travelers and Thieves. I loved it. I went on to become a big Blues Traveler fan for a couple of years there. I even saw them in concert at the Palace in Louisville when Sheryl Crow, of all people, was opening for them. This was back when she was still a half way decent artist.
Anyway, that damn Run Around song eventually came out and everybody suddenly knew who Blues Traveler was and six months later were really, really sick of them. Me included.
Well, all those years I followed Blues Traveler there was one thing I didn't know about them, or more specifically, didn't know about their front man John Popper.
He, apparently, is completely insane.
Popper was arrested in Washington last Tuesday for driving his SUV at 111 mph. When police searched his car they found a little bit of marijuana and hidden compartments full of weapons. Here's a link to the AP story. Popper's mugshot and pictures of the guns he had on him below:

Hey, when did John Popper suddenly start looking like Rob Thomas of Match Box 20. Maybe they are the same person because Blues Traveler and MB20 both suck!
I thought he kinda looked like you.
If he looked like me, he would need all those guns to keep the ladies off his jock.
