easter weekend @ st. awesome's
Most of my weekend (and a good party of Thursday) was spent at St. Awesome's. It speaks to what a great place St. Awesome's is that I don't mind giving them large chunks of my weekends on a regular basis.
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday were dedicated to setting up the weekend services and the steady influx of Easter visitors. We created a handful of plastic panels to capture light on the stage and moved the center projection screen forward. It was a lot of work, but the results speak for themselves I think. Pictures follow:

On Saturday night I served as technical director and then operated a camera on Sunday. It'd probably be a good idea for any of us who regularly serve as video director to operate a camera every once in a while just so we remain aware of what skilled labor it is. Here's some random pics of the rest of the tech team:

One of the coolest parts of the weekend was a sand drawing done by a local artist. Basically he sets a video camera up above a light board, covers the board in sand and then draws scenes in it using his fingers - all timed out to music. It was really cool:

The other really cool thing about the weekend was GG's kid's mohawk:

As an added bonus, here's a video of Jason and the band rehearsing a snippet of a song:
