i knew i was right
This may not be up long, so watch it now. This is pirated footage of the Iron Man trailer that debuted at Comicon. It looks fantastic. Everything looks right. Downey as Tony Stark is charming yet smug. The original armor is a clunky tank. The more streamlined version looks awesome. I'm really, really thinking this will finally be a super hero movie that I don't mind people trying to talk to me about.
Yeah...this movie looks pretty incredible. My only complaint is the music selections in this teaser. I mean, using Sabbath's "Iron Man" is a bit too easy, and Filter's "Nice Shot" is so over played in dark action movies. And did I hear AC/DC too? Ughhhh....This movie looks to be the best comic book movie to come out in some time, I hope they get some more modern and less cliche music to back up the visuals.
Come on man, you can't have an Iron Man trailer and not have Sabbath playing at some point.
Also, this looks like a rough cut they put together for San Diego. I'm guessing the genuine theatrical trailer will be different. And probably feature some completely different, yet also completely hackneyed musical piece.
I think it's gonna rock! I think Favreau will do a good job. But, I'm not a comic snob and will just enjoy it for comical arts' sake. Iron Man playing in the background was predictable, yes, but c'mon, Colonel--It's a comic book movie!!!
Isn't Favreau slated to do Capt. America sometime? and what happened to Wonder Woman? Joss Whedon got canned from writing it, and that's the last I've heard of it.
