random 7/16/07
-You can now download three songs by those kooky kids, The Wrong Trousers. They're the band responsible for that Video Killed The Radio Star clip on Youtube I posted a while back.
-Dirty and Charley The Intern got free tickets to see the Police in Louisville on Saturday. Just thought you all should know.
-Sara's mom got a new Mac desktop with a 20" monitor. It. Is. Awesome. I kissed it when nobody was looking.
-The Next Food Network star got really good last night. Yes, I will watch anything on the Food Network. Except for the Barefoot Contessa. She and all of her slightly effeminate single male friends who constantly come over to eat and set her table creep me out a little.
-Blog regular Mateo sang at St. Awesome's for the first time in four years this weekend. He did an awesome job. I'm gonna see if he wants to join my barbershop quartet now.
-Sara wants to get a golden retriever and name it Optimus Prime.
ooh! get two retrievers. one golden, and one black lab. then you could have an optimus prime and megatron! then, when you weren't home, you could daydream about how they were fighting out the eternal struggle between good and evil right there in your house while you're gone.

"slightly effeminate" ... I think it's called "gay florist". And I love the Barefoot Contessa, so back off.
Yeah, but it's not just the one guy. There's like a dozen of them. A different one comes by each episode and she cooks for them while they perform some strange task around her house or take tourist on historic tours around the Hamptons. It's all very weird.
I just watched The Next Food Network Star for the first time last night. I saw the most recent two episodes. I'm kind of disappointed I haven't been watching it. I really liked it. Who is your favorite? Were you happy with the final two?
I'd also like to say that Mateo did an incredible job this weekend. He sounded great...and so did Steve!
I like Amie a lot more than I like Rory. Rory sucks. I was glad JAG stepped down (even though I'm sure they made him do it) but he shouldn't have made it to the final round to begin with. Amie is a lot stronger all around than he is, I think.
So, I'm a Food Network junkie too...it could be the only station out there and I'd be happy!
The only downside is that Chris is secretly plotting my death so he can go find Rachel Ray and be her knight in shining armor since all of those nasty hubby-cheating stories have been floating around...
