spoilers
I'm about to post some spoilers down below, but I'm gonna post them in white so you can only see them if you highlight them with your mouse. Okay? So if you end up getting spoiled it's your own fault, okay?
I've never read a Harry Potter book. I've only seen parts of any of the movies. It's a cultural phenomenon that has passed me by. Probably because I like to spend my reading time with weightier tomes - things like theology, philosophy, and comic books.
Anyway, there's been such a ruckus online and on the news about the latest and last installment in the Potter books that my interest was finally piqued. Not enough to read the books mind you - but enough to go online and poke around on some spoiler sites and see what the big revelations in the book are. I was actually kind of surprised and intrigued when I read them.
So, if you're interested in knowing what the final fate of Harry Potter and his magicy little friends is, highlight the space below with your mouse:
He grows up and marries you. Is that what you wanted to hear? Okay, I stole that line from the Simpsons. Still, though, who cares what happens to Harry Frickin' Potter. Go do something productive with your time. Or at the very least go start a blog and taunt people with it, like I do. Idiots. Also, if you're so interested in spoilers: Rosebud was his sled, Vader is Luke's father, Bruce Willis was dead the whole time, and the chick in The Crying Game was really a man. Happy?
Pretty cool, huh?
You think chicks that really are dudes are cool?

This is GREAT!
Ooops...I used the wrong account - iBloom is really Kelly, that's just by business login. Sorry!
Don't sweat it. This blog is ALL BUSINESS.
you suck. i have never read or watched any of the harry potter but do want to know if the guy dies. he is on the cover of people mag. and everything. could you at least make up for this stupid joke and find out for me?
I have never read or watched Harry Potter either. And while I'm fessing up to things I haven't done, I have never seen any Lord of the Rings either. This kind of stuff just doesn't interest me at all. Now, Scott Baio is 45 and Single is awesome! That's my kind of stuff.
I only saw one of those Lord of The Rings movies. I think it was the second one. There was a talking tree. I thought the whole thing would have benefited from a car chase and a cameo by Burt Reynolds and Dom Delouise. And fewer midgets.
i have to admit that bry and i have had fred's set of the lord of the rings since he lived with us when he came on staff with st. awesome (4 yrs. ago??) and have yet to watch or return them....
so when does the scott baio show come on????
Scott Baio is 45?! Wow, now you'll tell me that Leif Garrett is bald and Sean Cassidy is producing bad horror tv shows (oh, wait...) *sigh* where have all the Tiger Beat boys gone?
After I highlighted the area, I heard this funny little Doug Henning voice saying, "It's MAAGIC!"
Sally, you are so right. Scott Baio's new show is the most interesting, psychological piece of art that I've seen in a long time. It sure beats that Lord of the Rings crap.
Have you seen the previews for "I Hate My 30's"?
ET
I've heard about that show. I'm afraid to watch it. I kinda like being in my 30's and hate to get any ideas that would lead me to think otherwise. Might as well make the most of it, right? I'm sure I'll end up watching it anyways.
I find it very interesting that a self-confessed "nerd" like Patch hasn't read the Potter books. Isn't that right up your alley? Being another self-aware nerd, I will happily tell you that I just finished reading all of the Harry Potter books within the last two months and must say that the author is nothing short of a genius. The concept of self-sacrifice, the conquering power of love, and her treatment of death and resurrection made for an intersting read. That's something you're just not going to find in your "Fantastic Four" comics.
Scary thought, though: the Simpsons quote was eerily on target, Patch.
If this were olden times I'd take out a glove, slap you across the face with it, and challenge you to a duel for disparaging one of the most emotionally capable story-telling mediums ever invented (comics in general, not Fantastic Four comics in particular). That being said, I never really liked the fantasy side of nerdom. Give Potter a ray gun and maybe...
Haha.
