If you see Sara sometime over the next... oh... I don't know, lifetime... and she won't stop smiling, it's because tonight she got her picture taken with Scotty Avett of the Avett Brothers.

They played at the Kentucky Theater tonight as a part of the Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour. A lot of things that had nothing to do with The Avetts conspired to make it not the greatest show ever. It was all redeemed afterwards when Sara got to share a few words and snap a picture with the other bearded object of her affection.

at least she didn't make out with her rock star crush....I can't say as much for my wife and her crush, Britt Daniels of Spoon. Rotten bastard!  


Patrick, I find it curious that Sara's crush has a beard and you have grown one over the past year???

Colonel, are you saying that Mrs. Colonel was a groupie...very interesting.  


Beards seem to come and go on the Avetts like cold sores on the Colonel. My only defense is that the first time we saw the Avett's live and Sara's crush began, Scotty didn't have a beard (but Seth had a massive one). They didn't inspire my beard, but they certainly have contributed to it's continued existence and the outer limits of it's growth.  


At least you have a picture of your make out session! Mine is just a memory!
