birthday report - updated
Saturday was my 35th birthday. Thanks to all of you that wished me happy birthday via Facebook, the phone, or in person.
I had a really good day. It started with a non-birthday related tech training meeting at St. Awesome's. The meeting was made infinitely better than it would have been by Mary Jenkins making me a dish of sopapila and hand delivering it (in spite of the fact it was also her daughter Isabel's birthday). Thanks Mary. It was delicious. I can't believe I left you out the first time. I am the worst person alive. From there Sara and I met my family for lunch. Zach and Nicholas gave me the Family Guy Star Wars movie. Mom and Dad gave me cold hard cash. Both were greatly appreciated - as was lunch.
After lunch Sara and I ran some errands then she gave me my gifts: A kick-ass pair of boots, some kitchen tools, a totally awesome set of Bose over-the-ear headphones, and the newest Mountain Goats album, Heretic Pride. I'm listening to it now, as I write this. It's really good.
Later that night we headed out to the back room at Miyako for a joint-birthday dinner with the Colonel (who's birthday was yesterday). I had a really good time and really appreciated the presence of my friends, their well-wishes, and the gifts. I also really appreciated Amy Gilmore and Mike Turner trying sushi for the first time. There was only a 50% enjoyment rate, I'm sorry to announce.

Okay how the *$#! do you get on the the invite list?!?!?!? I'm starting to get the message kids...
I like sushi
I like birthdays
I like guitar hero
I like showing up in pics on THE blog
Oh and happy late birthday Patch!
Sorry dude! I thought you were in Atlanta!
Don't mind Chris... He's just upset that the tornado didn't take him to Munchkin Land or The Island!
Happy belated B-Day bro!
Osama might be the worse person alive in the world. You come a close second, though.
