first week at st. awesome's

Chris, of the siutated giblets, commented on Twitter recently that he wasn't sure he liked how my new job was affecting my blogging and Twittering activity. To ease his fears let me just say that this first week was a lot of orientation - plus a somewhat unexpected project for this weekend. Eventually I'll find my rhythms and get back into regular updating.

That being said, I love my new job. There's a lot to it and a lot to learn, but it's exactly the kind of thing I want to be doing. In future post I'll go a little more into detail about what I'm doing. For now, though, I just wanted to check in and confirm that I am, indeed, still alive and kicking. And really, really happy. I only wish I could have started earlier so that I could have been on staff with No Nickname Fred, Mateo, and Jason for a while...

First, congrats!

Second, sniff, sniff on the sentimentality. Had we worked there simultaneously that might have been more sarcasm during mtgs than some folks could bear.

Third, don't fool yourself into thinking that a "last minute project for the weekend" is an anomaly. If I were you I'd leave a little time for that kind of thing most weeks.

So glad to hear things are going so well! New home, new job, new wife...you're on a roll!

Congrats!
